Did you know that your coat check tips are going to charity?
For the last two years, we have collected our coat check tips and secretly donated them to our local United Way. We are very proud to say that last year’s donation was in the amount of $1,000.00 and given the Columbia- Greene Community Hospice. This is something that everyone participates in and another reason why our staff here at Ca’Mea is so special. This was their idea, they want to give back to their community and they are proud to do so.
PRESS RELEASE: FOR IMMEDIATTE ISSUE
TITLE: Ca’ Mea Restaurant Staff Bestows Major Gift
In the true spirit of giving, the staff of Ca’Mea Restaurant at 333 Warren Street in Hudson voted unanimously to save their “coat check tips” from the winter and dedicate the money to the United Way of Columbia and Greene Counties. “For the second year, these wonderful people have given back to our community”, said Brad Poster, Director of Columbia and Greene Counties. “To quote the United Nations Foundation, “giving is not just about making a donation; it is about making a difference”.
The $1,000.00 gift was designated to The Community Hospice of Columbia/Greene. “Both Kristin and I had personal family experiences with the services and assistance of The Community Hospice of Columbia/Greene”, said Bridget Bullard, Manager Ca’ Mea Restaurant. “Our families are very grateful for the way our local hospice provided for our families”.
“I am always truly moved when people in our community pull together in support of their neighbors in need”, said Debra Moskowitz, Health Services Director of The Community Hospice of Columbia/Greene. “It’s especially heartening that it came about as a result of the care we were able to offer the families of those lovely young women.”
